2005 PONTIAC mONTANA-NO HEAT

After the latest cold snap we had a problem starting the van. Once she started we have no heat. The fans are blowing only cold air. As well we can not change from vents to anything else, like floors defrost...
We have replaced both fuses that have to do with the climate control and heat. Any help would be great.

Thanks to all that replied. We took it in for a diagnotic and it turns out that there was a "service call" to have the heaters reprogrammed. This service call had been out since Feb 2008. But since GM had put it down as a service call no one whos vehicles are affected will know about it till they go in to the garage/dealer for a problem or this problem.

I'm not sure the relationship, but if you have a rear heater A/C system in the van. The rear heater core and A/C components are located in the right rear. The buzzing noise sounds like a relay shorted, the buzzing is it rapidly turning off and on. It may indicate an electrical short in the heater A/C system which has a variance on the fan operation.

There is a flap in the venting itself that can get stuck. Or the actuator that moves it can become faulty. It is located above heater core and it's housing. You will have to remove bottom console to access it.

No temp gage on montana van. fan starts on start up engine seems cold after it should be hot

Check the heat gauge sending unit. Or "engine coolant temperature sensor" as they call them these days. ECT. It should be somewhere near your thermostat housing. I hope that's the problem. Good luck.

2005 Pontiac Montana SV6 heater blows cold when slowing to idle

How cold is it there and does your engine cool down any while going slow? If it does it may mean you need a hotter thermostat installed, My first thought would be to check the coolant level in the radiator and the coolant reservoir! Hope this helps and Merry Christmas

2000 pontiac montana heat issues

Try checking the cabin air filter, if equiped. It may be clogged making it draw more cold fresh air. Check your owner's manual to see if you have one or not, and it's location.
