Would the rocker arms beimg to tight cause rough idle
Did you use a tork wrench to tighten them? Check for vacuum leaks also

89 inch pounds then 30 degrees. make sure the push rods get put back in same place they came out they are different lengths. If you ever do another one of these buy the tool for the rocker arms and you will not have to remove them or the rear valve cover. please rate

as you face the engine the thermostat bell is on the right (drivers side) Follow the radiatoe hose. Remove the two bolts and raise the bell still attatched to the hose. the thermostat is there with the rubber seal. You can gently pry the thermostat out with a screwdriver or something similar. Put in new thermostat be sure it is the same as the old one, and then replace or change the seal (be sure it is the smae size and thickness as the old one as I got the wrong size from Napa) Then replace the bell, and tighten, but not over tighten. Check the ignition control module. Sounds like the exact same problem I have had with mine. Took it to the dealership and the were able to tell me right away. The ignition control module is very easy to replace and is located on the top of the valve cover. Hope this helps!
