If it is not on your tail shaft driver side, this picture will give u a good Idea. When you go buy it if it is a long one it goes on your tail shaft. Above the arrow you see a hookup easy to install. If it has a bend then follow the arrow. Good luck.
The input an output speed sensors are located in the front of the transmission (the side facing the radiator). The input speed sensor is the one right below the rubber transmission cooler lines. the out put speed sensor looks exactly the same and is located more toward the drivers side of the transmission.
If you looking for a different sensor let me know. Thank you for using FixYa.com!
I have a 2001 Silverado 1500 with the 4.8 that had the same error codes. It turned out to be intake manifold gaskets were bad. With the engine running spray some carb cleaner on the intake where it bolts up to the heads and listen for the engine to speed up. If it does you've got a leak. With mine I couldn't find the leak with the carb cleaner but after I replaced the gaskets the problem was solved. Hope this helps.
On the back of the transmission near your thermostat housing. Move your air intake tube and you'll see it down there. There will be two rubber power steering hoses running to it and a plug & wires.
I assume you're talking about the sensor that controls the gauge to tell you how much fuel is left... if so, that sensor is located in the gas tank. It can be quite costly / time consuming to have it replaced as you can't fix the bad sensor... You could also just reset your tripmeter every time you fill up and estimate how much fuel you have left based on what the tripmeter says...
had the same problem except cruse control wouldn't work either. after checking all the relays and fuses the problem turned out to be moisture in the ECM plugs.
