I installed a new battery and now the radio needs a code. i tried guessing the code 10 times and now it displays CODE E and it's stucked. how do i get rid of Code E?
Look in your owners manual/package if you have one and there should be a stereo code card in it or possibly someone may have written it in the owners manual. If not, remove stereo and get serial # and call the dealer and describe your dilemma. They have the codes in a database and can give it to you. Unless they're A-holes and are very hungry you may have to bring the car in and have it done for about an hours labor charge. Then make sure you write the code down and keep it in a safe place.

You only get like 10 tries this means you made to many attempts trying to put the wrong code in. Disconnect the battery cable and then try putting the code in the radio again.

yes call the dealer and explain to the service department what you did and tell them you need the unlock code for your radio. they should do this for free.

If the code is not written on the radio casing or inside the glove compartment, in/under the ashtray, behind the sun visor (or similar “hidden” place inside your car ) then the majority of HONDA codes may be available here

You will require the car VIN number and Radio serial Number
If they cannot provide your code then you will have to try your HONDA Main Dealer .....or a Decode Service who will plug in a laptop to read/recode the memory chip (EEPROM)

The radio code is on the inside of the glove compartment along the side you can see it from driver side better .

the code should be with your owners manualy its on a card the size of a business card.there will be # s on it, make sure you follow directions in manualy on how to enter code, also you might be able to call dealer, give them your cars vin # and they sometimes will give u a code.good luck.
