I think we need to reset the system on the car but don't know how we changed the water pump everything lights up on car when we try to start it but it won't crank...Need help
I would look around for loose vaccum lines and to find out where the crank sensor is and make sure the drive belt is on right

I ran into this once also, and I remember that I just disconnected the battery for about half an hour.

You cant reset it. So it cranks but wont start? V8? 6Cyl? You cant just guess and throw parts on it hoping you fix it. Have it towed to a shop and diagnosed.

I would assume the valves are up against the pistons
Need to get a copy of the correct belt timing procedure
& start over
