Question about 1998 Jaguar XK8
We have stop lights and day driving lights and reversing lights but no night driving lights either head lamp dipped or high beam. And no tail lights for night driving. We have checked all the 10 AMP fuses that appear from the handbook to control the lighting circuits and they are all OK. Bulbs in the tail cluster appear OK but we have not tried to remove the headlamp housings to chaeck the front bulbs. The car is in Nassau Bahamas where we live and we do not have a dealer on the island!
The car is a Jaguar XK8 Convertable 1999 with 17,000 miles.
take off the cover and replace them. if you have a volt/ohm meter you can put if on the car side and make sure you have voltage and the ohm meter on the buldb should give a 1 rating if its good. it would be the cheapest and easiest to just get a new bulb and see if it works then start checking fuses if its not the bulb.

There is a harness that you unplugged for the rear tail lamp. Make sure it is fully pressed and locked. This is always the cause on jags for tail lamp failure.
