Question about 2005 Chrysler 300
Trouble Code: P0344 Camshaft Position Sensor Circuit Intermittent Possible Causes: Crankshaft/Camshaft Timing Misalignment Possible Causes: Engine Temperature Control Level 2 RPM Performance Possible Causes:
.Wiring harness fault.5v supply circuit open or shorted to ground.Tone wheel/pulse ring is damaged or corroded.CMP Sensor has failed.CMP Sensor signal circuit is open, shorted to ground or battery. voltage or 5v supply.CMP Sensor ground circuit is open.PCM has failed.Trouble Code: P0016
.Base engine problem (i.e., the camshaft timing is not correct).Intermittent condition.CKP or CMP Sensor signal is erratic (check with lab scope).Tone wheel or pulse wheel is damaged or contains debris.CKP or CMP Sensor, harness or connector has failed.PCM has failed.Trouble Code: P0061

yes. If the rack is not held ,when you try to turn the rod you could bend the rack.With the pin out it doesn't take much to hold the rack,loosen the end with the rack "turned " so the rack is retracted into the housing,not sticking way out .

The fans are turned on by the PCM, if the PCM is not telling the fans to turn on, they won't even if everything tests fine.

Coolant Temperature Sensor/Switch (For Computer): Service and Repair
ENGINE COOLANT TEMP SENSOR
The Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor (3) on the 5.7L engine is located under the air conditioning compressor. It is installed into a water jacket at the front of the cylinder block.
WARNING: HOT, PRESSURIZED COOLANT CAN CAUSE INJURY BY SCALDING. COOLING SYSTEM MUST BE
PARTIALLY DRAINED BEFORE REMOVING THE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR.
1. Partially drain the cooling system.
2. Remove accessory drive belt.
3. Carefully unbolt air conditioning compressor from front of engine. Do not disconnect any A/C hoses from compressor. Temporarily support
compressor to gain access to ECT sensor (3).
4. Disconnect electrical connector (2) from sensor (3).
5. Remove sensor (3) from cylinder block.
1. Apply thread sealant to sensor threads.
2. Install ECT sensor (3) to engine.
3. Tighten sensor to 11 Nm (97.3 inch lbs.) torque.
4. Connect electrical connector (2) to ECT sensor (3).
5. Fill the cooling system.

encrypted software ,dealer only----yes i know you are showing a reading but it doesnt mean anything or if it does it shows a different code .so your snap on or mac tools scanner is a waste of time and money.Nearly all new motors from 2005 are using encrypted software to stop general mechanics like me from working
