You dont have a good enough connection from the battery to the ground or the live wire on the battery is a weak connection.. Run a new wire from the negative side of the battery and attach it to the body somewhere to a nut but bare the paint to do so and clean the bolt so you get good contact, can also run a wire to a bolt on the engine. Also check the connections to the battery both positive and neg and clean the battery terminals and cable terminals. A corroded terminal reduces cranking power by 80 percent.

SOURCE: Car goes completely dead when trying to start

That is what happens when you have a completely dead battery. Battery could be shot. Or canions. be caused by a bad connection at the terminal due to corrosion or a loosee bolt. It often times means that you have a bad alternator. The alternator is what charges the battery as the engine runs. Please give me a good rating, it means a lot to me. Please let me know if you have any more quest

Sounds like the connection from the battery to the chassis ground is bad. Try replacing the Negative battery wire and make sure where it attaches to the frame is as rust free as possible

Open the door that is stuck 1990 Celica

Was it just the dome light draining the battery? Next time, take off the neg. battery cable, or remove the bulb.
How far did you get with the panel? Once the panel is out of the way, you can open the door latch manually. Or maybe can put the inside handle back on to open door?

Many Toyotas have a problem with the large copper contacts in the starter solenoid. They get burnt and if they weld together, you'll have to take the battery cable off the battery to stop the starter.Pull the starter them remove and take apart the solenoid to find the contacts.Toyota does not sell solenoid contacts.Find a starter and alternator rebuilder in your area.I used to buy them for a buck a contact.
