Take your battery to a battery shop and have the cold cranking amps (CCA) checked. Your battery can read on any multimeter but if the CCA is not there, you need a new battery. If the CCA is good then check your starter relay. Relays do stick occasionally. Swap it out with another relay with a similar amp rating if available. However, more than likely the CCAs are not there.
You can try going up between the bumper and the radiator support. You may have to remove the grille to get to the latch. You might also be able to reach the starter cable with a jumper wire to power the locks.
Do you the 4.3 l vortec with Central SFI fuel injection system ? On these the fuel pressure regulator is under the top part of the intake manifold , They like to leak ! Leaking Fuel Pressure Regulator
Most are along the frame Just ahead of the transfer case area some are further back about the size of a coke can just follow the fuel lines and Im sure you will find it good luck
NO, it's kind of tight, but it's not that bad. You do need to remove the torque converter cover, and slide/rotate it as much to the driver's side of the vehicle as possible.
