Adding details will get you a faster solution from expertsgot a hyundai sonatta 2003 or 2005 and th drivers wiper arm stopped working in the upward position stopped and tightened the fixing but the threads have gone so it keeps slackening off can i fix this myself and how easy is it?
A quick fix is to first put the wiper arm into the correct position then drill downward through the wiper arm and into the wiper pivot.Don't drill all the way through the whole assembly, just 3/4 through the whole thing. Then break off the drill in the drilled hole. The hardened steel drill will run the wiper arm on the pivot.Dab a little sealant on the drilled hole/drill bit and run the wiper with no problem next time it rains..

There most likely is a nut at the base if the wiper arm, nearest to the cowl/windshield, that is loose. Grab a cressant wrench and attack.
Lefty loosey, righty tighty.....:-)
