Hi Dickens:
Most vehicles come with a wrench sized correctly for removing wheel nuts.
- "Lug nut" wrenches are available in various sizes.
You will need to try the wrench you have on the wheel nuts on your vehicle.
- Some of the wrenches have several different sizes, so when you find the one that fits snugly, you can mark it with a black felt or with paint so that you'll know which one to use in future.
Cheers
you should have a lug nut wrench in the trunk with located with the tire jack that is the proper size for the lug nuts.if you have the original wheel nuts.you turn the wrench counter clockwise to remove them from the car.if they are chrome caps over regular steel wheel nuts then the rust could change the size of the required wrench.size.if you have chrysler road side assitance(3year assitance)then they can get you a tow truck to change the tire if you call the 1-800 # if it hasn`t been over 3 years.other wise you may have to have it towed to a shop.
they are the locking wheel nuts(lugs)and you will need a key(not a hex allen key)to remove them.if you look close you will see that the sides are not equal.
I use a nut spilitter or an old socket hammered onto the nut to remove it,means replacements but next time you buy a car check to make sure you have the radio code and the wheel nut key.
go to parts house and buy a 4 way lug wrench for import(mm) sizes. they are available. ask parts guy if he will let you see if it will fit your car before buying. He let you try if the car is there.
They are actually fitted over your lug nut. Your factory wrench should be fitted over these as they will turn with lugs. One more advice piece here, always use the factory lug wrench to break them loose before using an air impact to finish the job. Often times, the impact will round these off making it virtually impossible to remove without going ahead and destroying them. Try rovercannibal.com for parts if this ever happens as they usually have them for around $6-8 as this is a common problem. hope this helps.
The battery is located under the hood in the middle of the wiper cowl under a black cover. It has one bolt on each terminal that a 10mm wrench fits. The hold down bolt takes a 13mm socket.
