Disconnect the posative terminal then touch the terminal to the posative a few times quickly it will reset your odometer needle to above the resting pin. This happens because you moved your posative terminal and the needles spun around and sat on the wrong side of the pin.

SOURCE: speedometer does not always work 95 cherokee orvis need help

Sounds like the speedo sensor needs to be replace on the transmission. I've had a similar problem with my Jeep with the sopeedo not working then work after the tranny heats up then after a period of time the needle started to jump when at 100 km or 60 mph. I changed the sensor and the problem went away. Good luck!

The vehicle speed sensor and speedometer are one in the same on this model I believe. If one goes out it takes the other with it if its all electronic and not cable driven.

2005 jeep grand cherokee window problem

Try to find one at a salvage yard. Is the rubber track piece supposed to be held on by glue? You might try a good adhesive to make the old track piece stay on.

05 grand cherokee wont start .full power lights dont dim when cranking then it starts like nothings wrong. i tried jump starting it then i climbed under it and hit the starter and it started

If the starter motor spins at high speed, but doesn't turn the engine until you whack it, the starter gear is not engaging the flywheel. Probably the engagement fork or the starter gear is worn out or sticky, or the solenoid isn't pushing it far enough.

Is in advisible to buy 2003 jeep grand cherokee

If you are asking for an opinion about the GC, They aren't much different than any other vehicle.
I say that because every vehicle has it's share of problems. GC's don't seem to have any more or less of them than those of any other manufacturer. The only thing from an engineering standpoint I do not like is the quadratrack 4wd system. It is too sensitive to slight tire size variations and engaging when it wants to instead of when you tell it to bothers me, especially in off road use. Being a larger vehicle, you cannot expect much economy and the actual cargo area isn't that much larger than a "normal" Cherokee ( of which I have several). If the one you intend to buy is in very good condition and has been well maintained, (and, you continue doing that), It's not a great vehicle but not a bad one either.

The speedometer on my 2002 Grand Cherokee Jeep stop working?

I believe your speedometer works off of a sensor either in the wheal or transmission, check this first then check your speedometer, sometimes they go bad and you have to replace the entire dash.
