After I parked the car I was engaging the emergency break when I heared like something snapping out from the pedal,in fact after that the pedal is like free there is just the cable inside his guide but it is like the cable came off from the other end, when I engage the emergency pedal it brings the cable up for about 3 inches with no resistance like is free in the other end.
It could be the emergancy brake cable or something on the pedal broke off that held the cable to the pedal. if the pedal is broken, go to the dealer and get a new one ordered, if its the cable, they are horrible to replace so just send it to someone. you will have a heck of a time doing it yourself.
I explain better to you, the pedal goes down and releases fine so I bent down and I saw the cable still in his guide but the little thing that holds the cable it is like free, I tried to engage the brake and I see that it bring up the cable with no resistance at all like used to be.Is it possible that the cable broke at the rear or somewhere else?do you think could be something else too? Thanks

sounds like your brake cable has broken or there is something damaged in the pedal assembly.........try pulling on the release handle and move the e-brake pedal back to its off position by hand at the same time.(you may have to tie it in this position to keep it up)If that doesnt work there is a sensor on the pedal assembly that you should be able to bypass by either disconecting the wire(1 wire system) or connecting the two wires together (2 wire system)Especially if your truck is a standard the e-brake is an important safety feature,so if these steps fix the light and dinging problem you should still take the steps to have it repaired.
hope this helps.........Good Luck!

Mechanically the pedal works, the problem as I mentioned before to you is that the pedal brings the cable so easy up like no resistance, like the cable was broken at the other end or anywhere before comes out from the plastic protection.i also noted that the cable has his metal head intact,so maybe it is broken somewhere else. What I should do to check if the cable is broken??thanx
if the cable is still attached to the pedal, then reach down and tug on the cable if it moves easily with very little to no resistance, it is most likely broken and will need to be replaced before itll pass its next yearly inspection.
