Question about 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe

The rear heater blows cold air and front does not blow at all. The only place that warm air comes out, is the defroster vents on the dash by the windshield. It actually warms the entire vehicle, but n

I hadsimale problems on my taho the ac wul not blow cold n the back only the heater would blow and the front would not blow i had to chang the front blower motor and the blower motoer relay in the back every thing is on the top of the rt pass wheel hump swap them out there the same parts to see what broke hat stuf is expencive hope this helps

common problem, check under dash by the gas pedal if control arms are muving went selecting from ac to heat cuz this it is the control for the vents to go from ac to heat and to defrost.

1999 Suburban, A/C on warm air from front vents, cold air in rear

The car uses the same freon in the front as it does in the rear. If the rear a/c is working, you either have a plugged evaporator in the front unit, or perhaps a bad heater switch. Try switching the heater to hot and see if it blows even warmer air from the front vents. If so, the heater switch is working and then it sounds like a plugged evaporator or maybe a plugged orifice tube. That is a good place to start looking. Hope this helps.

A/c problem

You either have a bad control, or motor running the air direction door in the front HVAC unit, or a door that is stuck.

The front and rear units are totally separate.

The door directs where the air, cold or hot, should come out, whether it is panel vents, floor, defrost, or any combination of those.

This door and motor are located inside the heater box which usually requires a lot of the vehicle dash assembly to be taken apart to get to these parts.
