1999 Lincoln Town Car water on passenger side floorboard after raining.

After it rains there is water on the passenger side floorboard. I used Black silicone (RTV) and sealed the lower windshield rubber gasket. Still leaks. Where is the water supposed to drain from the plastic catch at the base of the windshield? The only place I see for it to go is in the opening for the windshild wiper in that plastic catch piece. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Take off the plastic piece under your windsheild wiper. under that there will prob be a hole thaty leads to vent for heat & a/c fan, there should be a piece of rubber in front of hole on bottom of wind shield. Most likely that piece will be laying in the bottom of catch pan so u need to silicone it back up. Hope that this helps u out. Good luck.

SOURCE: 2004 Lincoln Town Car Rear passenger side wet carpet

I had the same problem in my Lincoln Town Car about a year or so ago. Here is what the problem was. There are a couple of air ducts at the back of your hood (top of firewall just below the base of your windshield wipers anchor points) These ducts are located one on the driver and one on the passenger side. Each of them has a little gate at the opening. The gates on my car were clogged with leaves and debris, thus causing water to flow over the ducts into the passenger compartment of the car. These ducts must be cleaned out so the water can flow through them and down to the ground instead of overflowing due to clogging.

SOURCE: I have a 2001 Lincoln Town Car . When it rains,

The vent under the hood on passenger side , more than likley the seal is leaking letting the water go inside. I have had to fix my mother's 1999 and my 2001 lincoln. It is not very hard to fix. You will have to remove the screws on the passenger panel under the hood to get to the vent. Pry the vent loose and re seal. You can take the hose and spray water on the W/S when it is dry to make sure it is coming in at that location.

SOURCE: water on the floor on

normally this is caused by the seal on the windshield, any glass replacement shop will be able to tell you this,, take it to one of them and show them where it happens,, that should be free , and if they suggest that you reseal the windshield,, thats not much either,

2001 LINCOLN TOWNCAR, HOW TO DRAIN WATER IN PASSENGER FLOORBOARD, ARE THERE PLUGS?

There should be rubber drain plugs under the car's carpet (I believe the Lincoln has screw in ones)look under car and pull the plugs and let car dry out completely replace and seal the plugs and any other pin holes you might have in the floor also I believe the fresh air intake when malfunctioning will allow water to fill in car when driving in rain (should be on rear right side of car water will come into if fresh air intake is not working properly (

Water is running under my dash onto floorboard in my 2007 dodge caliber after it rains. Where is the water comming from

You need to find the conduits for rain - one of them has a leak in it probably from corrosion. Try to locate just where the water is getting in and see if you can use a sealer to stop the water from getting in.

I would remove the glove box and anything else in the way and look for the source when hosing down the car.

1999 town car rear floor on pasenger side and front get wet when it rain how to fix it

Open the hood, on the passengers side lower windshield plastic cover there's a flap that's supposed to let water drain through, these constantly get clogged with leaves and crud allowing water to back up into the fresh air intake for heat and a/c..clean the drain and run hose water down windshield and make sure it'll drain properly. People have been known to remove the rubber flap to allow better flow.you'll want to check this regularly for build up of debris, especially if you park under or near a tree, bush..

1999 Lincon Town Car...water is on the rear passenger floor and under seat...and in rear door...HELP

Check under the hood along the firewall, below the windshield around ac evap. and drain area. This is a common place for water to enter and flow by various means (duct system) to passenger rear floorboard as well as slight passenger side front...but usually noticed in passenger rear floorboard.

The passenger side floorboard gets wet =

is it only when the ac is on? there is a pan under the ac unit that has a hole in it to allow the condensation to empty. if that hole gets plugged it could cause the condensation to build up and back into the inside of that car. i unplugged mine and floor stayed dry
