The right hand side of the dash underneath you will find a box with water hoses attached that will be the heater core, possibly look under the hood on the pass side and see if you can get to it there . probably not though. it will be difficult. go to pep boys and pick up manual for your model of vehicle will show everthing.

1996 chev. blazer, heater not getting hot

You may need a thermostat and a coolant flush but one thing you can try first is disconnecting the heater hoses and run a garden hose with low pressure through the heater core both directions. These are commonly known to get plugged heater cores. If flushing the heater core out brings your heat back definitely get a coolant flush. Make sure to dispose of any antfreeze properly.

How to change heater core in 2001 chevrolet blazer

Hi:
I have changed out a heater core on a Blazer like yours and while it isn't extremely difficult, it is quite a job, as you need to remove the dash to do so.

If you need some guidance, I would suggest that you spend about $20 and get a subscription to :
www.alldatadiy.com

It helped me on all of the cars that I had, and has step by step instructions, as well as printable diagrams and pictures.
