The key, the steering wheel and the shift lever all seem stuck and I can't get the key to even turn
SOURCE: The ignition key will not
The steering wheel lock in the column is causing this problem, sometimes you can you can turn the wheel back and forth to releive the pressure being applied. Other than that the column will have to come apart, and this is a job for a technician.

SOURCE: Can't remove ignition key. I can start it, drive
either you have a problem with the cable that connects the gear lever to the ignition or the steering lock has broke inside. But i seem to think that its more likely to be the cable
