Well, really all you have to do it go to Honda and tell them what you need (They're 12.00 BTW) installing them is a pain.

Door panel has to come off and the bolts need to be loosened up on the glide rail, slide the glass at and angle, remove the old hardware, replace with new hardware.
This is the critical part- DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN THE WINDOW GUIDE! Leave some slack so it is easy to get back into the doors outer track itself.

One it slides by hand, leave it at the base, raise the glide, redo the bolt, hook all the electronics and test it, should work.

you have to grease those things twice a year minimum... I didnt and the things were snapping every 8 months or so.

Louis, go to site 'hondapartscheap' southbay honda, enter your honda info, they have great diagrams of body and engine parts, and prices aren't too bad either. Let me know if u have any trouble accessing info there.

The rear windows on my '04 Saturn Ion won't open from any of the controls.

Rear Passenger Power Window Operation
The rear passenger power window switches receive battery voltage through the window lockout control circuit if the window lockout function is disabled. Ground for the rear passenger power window motors is supplied through normally closed up and down contacts of both the rear passenger power window switches and the driver power window switch. When the either rear passenger power window switch is placed in the down position, the power window motor down control circuit is switched to 12 volts and is applied to the down side of the rear passenger power window motor. Since the other side of the rear passenger power motor is connected to ground through the normally closed up contacts of both the rear passenger and driver power window switches, the window travels down. By placing the rear passenger power window switch in the up position, the polarity of the power window motor is reversed and the window travels up.
The rear passenger power windows can also be controlled from the driver power window switch.

Did you try pushing the lock out switch on the drivers master switch ?

Hi, I'm trying to diagnose a non-working front passenger side power window switch on a 2008 Escalade. Only the lock/unlock function works. The window, mirror and mirror turn signal don't.

Yes they run a wire loom that has wires that are not used in some models. One thing you need to check is the wire loom because it flexes every time the door opens and closes and wires can break .Also you may want to go to autozone website and make a free account, you can put in the year make and model and look for the free repair guides for wire diagrams.

My passenger side, and rear power windows dont work and my lights dim when i try and let the passenger side window down the rear windows cause the car to do nothing. when i first bought the car the rear...

The motor on the passenger side is shorted and is now tripping the circuit breaker. Odds are, the back window motor is also bad. You have to take the panel off to check the motor. You can power it directly to verify it has failed.

On my 2002 vw cabrio, the drivers side front power window works intermittently - mostly won't work. Passenger side is fone as are the rear power windows. Is this a switch problem?

The most common problem with Cabrio auto windows is the Window regulator. Each window has it's own. My wife also owns a 2002 Cabrio, that had a mis-behaving window driver window and the passenger was locked in the up position. After inspecting the drivers window, I found one of the cable roller guides was broken, causing the cable to snag when using the window open / close, and resulting in the window seeming to have a mind of it's own. I had a local garage order the regulator for me, and then I disassembled the drivers door and installed the new regulator (problem is now solved).
The passenger window was bound up, I also had to remove the regulator and let loose the tension in the cable system by carefully removing the cover over the cable roller. This window works fine now as well.

Water leaking to top of ceiling, coming in from rear window, top corner passenger's side

if you know its coming in from the rear window replace that seal. if you are not sure have someone spray water from a hose on the area even gently at a low flow until you pinpoint it.other wise the quesstion isnt clear.

Passeger side rear window

Replace the guide with a good one from a auto wrecker. These are cheap, poorly built cars from South Korea. The front wheel drive Pontiac LeMans was also built by Daewoo which GM owns a share of, and they had lots of problems compared to the German built Opel Kadett/ UK built Vauxhall Astra that it was based on. You get what you pay for. My advice is to find a cheap source for parts or trade it in on something more reliable.

Driver Side Front Window Replacement

You just drop it down from the top at a slight angle. Then put the bolts back in and check to make sure that it moves freely.

The front guide (that is attached to the window and slides into the regulator) has probably come off or is lose. These are glued to the window and hard to get to. Best advise is to remove the window, re-glue, then replace window in the regulator guides.

The regulator is the scissor mechanism that raises and lowers the window.
