Any light's lit on the instrument cluster ? Wrench symbol , check engine ? Any messages - DIC - driver info. center ? 2007 Chevy what 2500 hd ,silverado etc... What size engine 6.6 L .Probably a problem with electronic throttle control . Your best bet ,dealer

I got a 2007 Chevy equinox I need to know how to change a thermostat and it has some weird thing on the top got the bolts out but I can't get the thermostat

Make sure the thermostat was the right temp range. Had same problem on ford truck and parts store gave me a 160 when it should have been a 180 degree thermostat.

You've already eliminated #3 and #6, so keep checking...

SHOULD BE TWO VERY SMALL BUTTONS IN LOWER LEFT CORNER ONE SAYS HR FOR HOUR AND OTHER SAYS MN FOR MINUTE HOLD BUTTON DOWN AND IT WILL SATRT TO CHANGE IN ABOUT 5 SECONDS OR SO IF THIS IS NOT STYLE LET ME KNOW

You need talking with the parts guy at the GM dealer You need the "new" style thermostat housing to be able to change just the thermostat. So I ordered a new thermostat housing assembly. Here is what I got, a new aluminum two piece housing and thermostat. Hopefully tomorrow I can get this car back on the road and out of my shop.

The thermostat is located in the water pump on mostn never Chevy trucks. If you pull the upper fan shroud, you should see the thermostat housing. Remove the radiator hose, then the 2 bolts for the housing. Replace the thermostat, and gasket together.

mo me it sounds like low fuel volume i would check my lift pump

If you have a duramax diesel engine it goes next to the other one. They would both be in the same housing. If you have a Gas engine it will only use 1 t-stat.
