On the side of the carb there a fuel sensor there...Has tiny screws and wires running to it. If it goes bad your car will idle..Your ECM sends a signal to open it for fuel..If it goes bad it want turn...Might try tapping likely on it...Go to your auto store and ask them about it first...Then you will understand better about how it works and if this seems to be your issue

First thing I'd do is remove idle speed motor, or idle air control, same thing, different names. remove wire connector, remove motor, and get some throttle body spray cleaner, and spray shaft & tip of motor well & clean it all up, as well as spray in to port (hole) that it came out of. Re-install & try that. They are pretty common problem. If it cure it for a while, then starts to act up again, replace it, and clean port well before installing new one. here's a link to give you an idea of what your looking for, click on pictures to expand them.

SOURCE: Dodge Ram 1500 can it have a plow?
if you do it do it at the dealer that you got it from so it wont void the warranty. that way you keep it in place and they can also tell you the specifications as to what you need to do ,if anything to the front of the truck
SOURCE: check engine light on code
This trouble code is Evap Purge System Performance fault. 1) Check for a loose or missing fuel cap. 2) Check for a damaged or missing fuel cap seal. Recheck for other trouble codes. This fault wont cause the stumblering problem. It turns on the MIL lamp to say there leak in the EVAP system.
SOURCE: 2007 dodge Ram 1500 hemi fuel cap sensor comes on
I have the same problem. It started with engine code 0440 (evap system malfunction). I changed the gas cap and now getting the "loose cap" light plus the 0456 (evap leak very small) and 0457 (gas cap loose/off)
Anyone know where the sensor is located?
