Question about 1987 Honda Civic
Someone will need to check the coil for power and a ground signal from the distributor.

If your car starts after you charge the battery overnight or with a jump start then the most likely problem is that your alternator is not charging the battery when the car is running. If you take it to an auto parts stores many of them will test your alternator (for free) to verify that is the problem.
If that isn't what is causing your problem you need to look for a short that is draining your battery and you would need a clamp on ampmeter to find that.

Axle or shift link problem.
Looks like the shifting link broke loose and it stayed on one gear. Check the linkage and replace parts that needed to reconnect it.
If the shift link is okay, the problem would be both the constant velocity that rotates the wheel in the axle assembly is broken.
Hope that helps you out!

Multiple problems. Take it to a mechanic. If the car has high mileage, call the junk man.
