You can try getting a better antenna other than that check the connection on the back of the radio for the antenna, the new radios do not have an adjustable antenna trim like the old ones used to.

Pioneer is a first line brand and should provide you the best signal. If you had good reception previusly and with a new Pioneed unit it's poor, your new Pioneer is defective!. Take it back and demand your warranty, so they should change it or repair it so it should sound perfect. DON'T TRY TO "repair" IT Might lose warranty!
Yes- If you originally had the antenna in the windshield like many 1970's era GM cars and trucks, yor new windshield may not have it, or if it does- it may not have been connected. There should also be a trimmer adjustment on the side or bottom of the radio to trim the new antenna for best reception. It may also be located where you can adjust it fromthe front if there is an access hole to a screw that does not appear to be attached to the outside case of the radio. Turning it slightly should make noise if it does not immediately improve reception..
If you have an antenna mast, it may be the mast shifted, in which case it is a matter of putting the mast int he original location and tightening the mouting nut down so a good ground is achieved with the fender. You can tell if you turn on the radio and then pull the mast down and let go- you will hear the radio go in and out of reception.
Best Buy has a pretty good reputation for installing aftermarket radios and they generally use a new harness connected to the old harness to make it work right.
I would try to have the reception issue fixed by Best Buy before the warranty runs out.
How long ago did you have it worked on?
I'm sure they will make it right if you take it back.
Even, if it requires changing out the radio.
Have them check that the antenna is properly connected to the back of the radio.
While a.m. radio does not get very good reception anyways, they have after-market antennas that will improve reception to the radio. You can get it at the parts store or you can have it installed at a car audio installation center.
Well i remember the M25 being built so i wouldnt know about radio reception ,but i do remember radio london and caroline. Now i would imagine that this sort of auto reset of tuning reception is controled by a micro chip and this chip is now not working as it should so if you want it to work then its most likely cheaper to install a new radio.Or just use long wave for radio 4.
