2001 oldsmobile intrigue passenger side headlight (tyc aftermarket) works fine but won't aim to the right side

is the light setup one ballast for high and low beam ? if so the ballast has gone, probably even the bulbs. replace the ballast and bulbs. some aftermarket ballasts don't last, if you cannot find the right ballast for replacement you will need to replace both ballasts. as every ballast set are set the same and sold in pairs.

The problems are probably related in some way. Let's reason this out...If there is an intermittent short in the wiring somewhere it could blow bulbs. If you have poor grounds on the MANY ground wires in the car and in the engine compartment, sudden surges could be taking out fuses and bulbs. If you really want to find the solution(s), you will need a wiring diagram of the complete car. You can get one by going to the auto parts store and requesting a Haynes auto book for a 2002 Oldsmobile Intrigue. In it you may find some hints like I gave you. Try to trace the worst problems first so that you can keep the car on the road (pass inspections)...

Is there an anti-theft system installed? The aftermarket ones cause lots of woes. Hmm, you tried the brake pedal thing, but did you try the rear view mirror thing in conjunction with the spare tire thing? This works sometimes, I've heard.

The socket is likely burnt,or broken wire in the circiut

Check power to headlight switch.

It happened to my 98 Intrigue. It stopped as soon as I changed the sockets. It is very simple to do this, just pull it out the the plug from the connector about 4 inches from the socket. I got used ones at the junk yard, 2 bucks a piece. Been working fine for almost 2 years.

Turned out to be a 15 amp fuse not making full contact. Thankyou anyway gentlemen.
