SOURCE: Rattle/Vibration from front of vehicle when idling at stop
Hi and welcome to FixYa. Please try this:
GO out to the car, and lift up on the hood. Does it raise a bit and rattle? If so;
Open the hood, and look at the perimeter of the front radiator support. You will see 2 small rubber thingys, that look like that they are screwed onto the metal that is holding the radiator. Unscrew them a little, and close the hood. Pull up on the hood and see if the rattle goes away. If not, repeat unscrewing the rubber things until the lift disappears.
A FixYa rating (4 blue diamonds) would be greatly appreciated for my assistance.

Automatic transmiision? You may have a seized overdrive solenoid in the valve body.

Pound on the catalytic converter, you will probably find your rattle inside, if so, you will need a new one, also check for any loose clamps or rings that have come loose, just pound on your exhaust with the side of your fist, you should find your rattle, or sometimes the heat sheilds above the exhaust come loose.
SOURCE: front suspension noises, bad new struts?
It sounds like the mechanic may have left the upper strut nut a bit loose, you may want to ask him to check it, but be nice, Toyota had some problems with upper strut mounts. These are on the top of the strut, they hold them to the body of the car. Unfortunately you have to remove and disassemble the struts to replace them. You could try asking your mechanic to just replace the one side and try it. I'm pretty sure that's your problem and he may give you a break since he's done all the other work. There is also a bulletin on a rattle from the side view mirror, but I think since this just started with the strut job, the mount is your most likely cause.
