I need to replace the transmission in my 93 gmc sierra sle ext cab 5.7ltr v8, 2wd.. currently I have the original 4L60 that came in it but what other options do I have? What other gm vehicles were made with that exact same transmission..

If it's a 1500 then yes the 4l60E tranny is for you. If it's a 2500-3500 you'll need a 4l80E. The 80's are only used in trucks with a gvw or 7200 and greater.

I had the same problem with the after market serpentine belt, i replaced it with the OEM and found it not to squeak. Have a closer look at the V groves on the belt and the pulley, I found the V grove on the belt had a different size then the groves on the pulley making them squeal. Good luck and hope this helps.

You remove any of the trim that is contacting the headliner,remove light in the center,remove visors and any hooks that are there to hang things on ,Most of your trim has push in retainers handles and hooks,seat belts should have screws inthem.

The 04 SIERRA is behind a panel with 4 screws under the glove box...Remove the screws and cover and slide it out.There is actually 2 in there and it is easy once the cover is off.

Usually there are extremely detailed instructions that come with the new filter when you open the box...Follow these instructions it shouldn't be too hard.

Oxygen sensor[s],map sensor and fuel pressure regulator.Although you should have a check engine light "on" with any sensor malfunction.I would look at fuel lines for a leak under vehicle.
