No as long as its running the alternator will suply electric with it running out of fuel the pump and filter would have pulled all the muck from inside the tank put plenty of fuel in maybe quarter of a tanks charge battery after a few days it should be ok but if not get fuel filter changed hope this helps ivan

No there is not.
What you can do is crawl under the car and check to see that there is power to the starter on the large wire all the time. There should be power on the small wire with the key in the crank position. If both of the above are true than the starter has failed.
