I have a 2008 Honda Fit. Especially when the weather is colder the tire pressure warning light comes on immediately after starting the car. But when I check the pressure of the tires everything is okay. What causes this to happen, and is there anything the dealer can do to fix it so that when the light comes on I will know it's the real deal?
The time when you check the tire pressure is before driving it or after is been driven? Reason I am asking this is because the air pressure after use checked would be different from cold start test. as the air after friction expanded and surely is more than the cold.check the tire pressure when cold and see if you are in the limit. If you are and still have the light come on then the problem you have possible are the tire valve sensor. Ask your dealer to check it .

not that I'm aware of sometimes they stick on the center part of the hub it happens to all vehicles. what I normally do is just kick the top of the tire a couple of times this usually does the trick.

Look for a sticker on the drivers door panel. It will tell you what pressure to set for the tires. The owners manual may also contain this information. It is normal for a radial tire to look a little flat.

yes you can use the tires of your choice as long as they are 16 inch tires

You could have a defective pressure sensor causing this.
One more thing, some have a sensor in the spare tire.
Did you check that?

you have tire pressure sensor that id's each tires pressure. After rotating or changing tire it must be reset to "see" pressure of each tire. Your user manual should have the proceedure. Each manufacturer is different.
