Check your owners manual for the headlight relay in the fuse panel.

Check the high volt. fuses under the hood. the headlight switch itself may be faulty.

SOURCE: Headlights not working

If all fuses and bulbs are fine, it's probably a problem with the wiring harness. Take it to the dealer. Wiring harnesses are not something to do by yourself unless you're experienced with wiring on the specific car.

sounds like there is a broken wire. the only advise i can give you is to follow the hot wire for that light untill you find the break in the wire.

Have you checked out the switch itself? Seems like the problem might be there.
If the lamp bulbs are sill intact, that's probably the most likely solution. There's a possibility you have a short somewhere in the switch relay that will allow the highlights to turn on but not the low beams.

Rav 4 2005 suddenly both head light stop working when l flash it both works too . What to check and how to fix it

When you flash you're operating the high beams, not low beams. Check for battery voltage on the red/black wired at the bulb connector. If you don't see battery voltage, the fuse is blown or the wiring is bad. Also, does this vehicle have daytime running lights?

HEADLIGHTS NOT WORKING

It can be faulty headlight switch or issue with its wiring. Or its faulty head light fuse.

High beam headlights stuck on replaced switch same problem

It can be issue with headlight switch, but as its already been replaced.Try disconnecting high beam headlight wiring from headlight assembly and reconnect direct external wire from headlight switch to headlight assembly, then by switch see if headlight is getting off and turning on or not.

Lights don't dim on 2008 Toyota Rav 4

Does the head light flasher work? They usually flash on high beam. When operating the dim switch, do you hear or feel a positive click that indicates that contacts have been switched. If you do not the dimmer switch could be faulty, if you do, the relay that switches the lights could be faulty. Look in the handbook or the fuse box to locate the relay.

My 87 k5 blazer headlights don't turn on when the car is started and running any more... all 4 headlights turn on fine when I pull the lever all the way out for high beams

The vehicle should not have to be running for head lights to burn.If high beams work, then the low beam head lights could be burned out, even though they light up with high beams. The dimmer switch, can be the problem if the head lights only work on high beam.
