I dont have an accura, but if you have a service manual like Haynes, etc. it has a listing of codes and what they mean. it is in the chapter on Emissions and engine control systems. You can just go to auto parts store and look at the book there, or purchase the book for your car. I always buy one for any vehicle i have, they come in handy. I use mine often. I see this was posted in september so you have probably had it fixed by now. But in case you havent maybe this will help.

EVAP emmission control system leak detected canister system - ( P1457 ) N.B. As a result, engine check light is on.

p1457-try by putting fuel fill cap on only about 3 turns and see if this helps. if it does not help. check all vacuum lines to and from charcoal canister. good luck, it very hard to tell. but there is a vacuum leak somewhere in system.

2000 Accord LX, 4 Cyl. check engine light and error codes P1457, P1739

A very common late 90's code, P1457 is a failure in one of the evap system solenoid valves. There are 2 culprits, the Vent Control Valve & the 2 Way Bypass Valve. So, start working with those and see if you can get the 1457 code off of it.

I also looked around about the 1739 code as well which a transaxle error. However, I've found that there has been more than enough reported cases of problems of the such. Take a look at this link, and do a little reading.

I hope this helps you out.
