Question about 2004 Chevrolet Express
You got to buy a shorter belt serpentine belt that bypasses the AC unit most car have a diagram showing whit and whit out AC.

On some models installing a non A/C optioned cars belt will do the trick due to it's shorter length.
If you can get a look at a non A/C car the same as yours....you can check if a shorter belt will do....or if it uses an extra idler pully on the belt system to make up for "no A/C compressor".

its the same. but a different pulley takes place of the a/c compressor. I know DORMAN makes a few "bypass pulleys" to do this, but dont know if they make one for your truck. at the worst... you will need to get a pulley and bracket from the dealer for a truck without a/c . as long as your a/c pulley bearing is ok, you can let the belt run there.

I don't know of any way to by-pass the A/C compressor or any component in a serpentine belt system; but, you can unplug the compressor clutch (at the nose of the compressor, behind the pulley), then the compressor will not turn and the pulley just acts as an idler.

should be diagram on top of rad cover if not start with crank and go around water pump with back side of belt if its the rite belt can only fit one way
