2000 Nissan Frontier 4dr V6 5speed Dash lights out, tail lights out, lic. plate light out. however brake lights work, head lights work, turn signal work, and the dome works. I checked: tail light bulbs their ok, all the fuses are ok. All of the lights that are out, went out at the same time. Is that just a coincident, or is their more? Thanks; Darrell

hi Richard
yes wiring could be the problem but your wiring loom should not need replacing may only need repair, check your lic. plate bulb socket for power with the running lights on / check wire from bulb to left/right side for cracks in the insulation of the wire (looking for any shorts)
the lic. plate lights get power from the tail lights (running lights) if your running lights are not working also u may have a blown fuse
if not look for a brake/cut in the wire going from the tail lights to
lic. plate light sockets.
On "most" vehicles, the parking, tail, lic plate AND dash lights are all on the same circuit. Usually, the fuse will be labeld "park", "tail", or "illum".
If you have dash lights but no park lights, it's likely that there is a break in the wiring somewhere...
The dash and tail lights are on two different circuits, and the brake and turn signals are on different circuits, so at least 4 circuits total.
I would start at the headlight switch and check for power on the first two issues.
Oh boy, Chevy uses 3 important wires to make up their tail light harness. Brown is used for your parking lights and yellow and green are your signal and brake light wires, yellow one side, green the other. You have some seriously crossed wires. Start with tracing the lic plate lite since that works. Make sure it leads into your main parking lights and the ground wires from these tail lites aren't cut. The lic place lite will work with just power because the body of the lite is grounded with the bumper. Then make sure that there is power to the signal wires. You can do this with a test light and the signal light switched on. You don't need anyone to step on the brakes since it's the same signal, only interepted. Most importantly, Remove the tail lites and check grounds!! Good luck
its a fuse under the hood
Tail and Dash lights out. clock, radio, ASCD and rear defogger lights work.
