Code 12 means you are in test mode, code 34 is a problem with the map sensor, and code 35 is a problem with the idle control valve.
But those two codes could show up if you disconnect those sensors or if the engine is having other problems.
In situations where the engine stalls, it is very easy to overlook something or assume a component is working.
Treat it like a no start. Pull a plug wire and watch the spark as the engine dies. Use carb cleaner or starting fluid to boost fuel supply.
You'll have to figure out if it is loosing spark or fuel to proceed.
Things like the coil, the stator in the bottom of the dist, or a relay can be the cause. Even low fuel pressure.

Have 1987 chevy pickup truck not getting fuel to the TBI unit. when you turn ignitionkey to "on" pump starts to pump fuel, and will start to run but shuts off after 2 to 3 second or so. Even...

Kent, That sounds like normal operation.....see this link (https://www.justanswer.com/chevy/0z9bu-fuel-pump-relay-located-1987-chevy-silverado.html) The ECM shuts the pump down if the engine doesn't begin running in two seconds. I would bleed out the fuel line up to the TBI...crack the line at the TBI then cycle the key a couple of times until you see gas coming out of the line at the TBI. That will ensure you have fuel at the TBI, then try to start the engine. See the link for additional info.

Truck runs for two seconds an shut down i changed fuel pump an filter and it still shuts down but it only stay running when i put gas down in the throttle body i had a 1996 chevy 1500 i was wondering can...

No, the fuel regulator from a 96 will not fit a 98. The 98 is a vortec and i believe the 96 is TBI. You are on the right track though, but the fuel regulator is attached to the fuel injector spider and is one unit inside the upper intake. It is relative easy to replace just takes some time.

Having problems with 2002 chevy silverado 1500 won't stay running. cut out going down hiway then died will run a while then die is this the fuel pump

Start with the simple and replace the fuel filter first. If it was the fuel pump, and being electric. It would have not restarted again if the pump has gone bad. The fuel filter should be replaced every 1,500 miles or once a year to ensure that your fuel system is running 100% and will not burn out your fuel pump early due to extra heat generated from working harder then is should. Good luck and keep me posted.

90 chevy 350 with TBI starts but wont stay running changed fuel filter and fuel regulator dont know what next

I have a 90 chevy k1500 350 tbi with same problem! I have traced problem to... after turning on key fuel pump kicks on when u crank it over injectors shoot gas and truck starts! After few seconds injectors stop spraying and truck dies! This can happen many times over and over! Eventually sometimes truck stays running and all is great! I changed ignition module, oil pressure sending unit (which i was told controls gas after vehicle is running) fuel filter, computer, fuel pump relay, I am at a loss now! Hope this helps and hope someone can help me!

Turn over but well not stay running backfires though air intake

When is the last time you replaced your fuel filter? Check your fuel filter. If it's plugged you may have taken out the fuel pump. This happened to me. (2000 Chevy Silverado 1500)
