I have trouble code 0230, and I have no power going to my fuel pump

First off it's never a good idea to start an engine on brake cleaner so I would get it taken to a real mechanic shop. Second it could be alot of things from fuel pump to a mass air flow sensor. More than likely its a fuel issue. Check all fuses and If blown replace them with same size fuse. Check again to see if it starts if that doesn't work Check the rela for fuel pump you may be able to swap it out with another one in different location in panel see I it works. After this I it still won't start you need a scan tool. Good luck

Fuses, check them all, is the check symbol is lighting when car is on contact?

code p 0230 refers to fuel pump relay---circuit malfunction===causes --wiring---fuel pump relay-- ECM
check wiring for bad connections
replace the ECM with a known good unit as it may be breaking down electronically in the circuit that controls the pump relay
Check the pressure regulator as well as it reports to the ECM to shut off the pump relay when the fuel pressure is reached and not being used

DID YOU CHANGE FUEL FILTER.

If you are saying it starts and then dies, have you checked fuel pressure again ? Could be the fuel pump relay.

You can check codes on these without a scan tool ! surprised your mechanic doesn't know this ! Put the key in the ingition , turn it on then off , then on , then off then on again an leave it on . Then look at where the odometer is , will show P codes .

the check gauges and hard stering are because the engine stalled, what system trouble codes do u have? if u don't know how to check these codes here are the instructions, also what is the fuel pressure.

fuel filter most likely will not fix your problem.- the best thing would be to see what the check engine trouble code is and then go from there. there are way to many things that could be wrong to just throw parts at it, but if thats how you want to go at it i would probably say the fuel pump is a more likely cause than the filter.- i have never replaced a fuel filter on a ford for a no-start.

There is power at the fuel pump for aprox 3 seconds as soon as the ignition switch is turned on
then it does not get power again until the engine starts

so if you are checking the power at the pump you need to have someone else in the car to turn on the switch while you are looking at your meter , you have a relay under the hood under a plastic cover at the fire wall that controls the power to the pump .
