My cd player thinks there's a cd stuck inside. how do I find it or remove it?

The display says "no" when I try to load a CD and nothing comes out when I press eject.

SOURCE: How do you remove Audio-CD player from a 2002 Kia Sportage

after you remove all the screws from the dash you have to get down to a section by the pedals and remove something like the airbag to get at the last part of the dash apart. then you need to unplug the mirror and back wiper switches (opt i think). then you have access to your radio. These are all things i gathered from watching the guy at futureshop do, it was about $100 and now I don't have fm radio. but I am now going to try it on my own.

SOURCE: cd stuck in the car stereo

yes you can open it up. try not to diassemble too much. leave it connected so you won't need a code and just try to nudge the cd out. the rubber roller might be worn. I usually stick a cd in half way and hold it from getting soucked in to clean the rollers.

SOURCE: A cd is in my car cd player and will not eject.

Try to remove all power to cd player by undoing the battery wait a couple of minutes and then hook it back up. This will clear and reset the radio. Maybe?

Hi there:
When CD ERROR shows on the player display, there is a problem with the CD mechanism. It will have to be sent out or taken to a repair shop to have it fixed.

Hope this helps.

2010 Jetta My daughter had a cd in and loaded another one. It is a single cd player. I don't know how it took it? It won't eject. How do I get them out??

If possible remove the unit from the dash, remove the top plate and push the cd out. If not I have removed stuck cd's with small flat nosed needle nose pliers.

There is nothing you can do to repair this, you must remove the deck and send it out for repair at a factory approved repair station.

Does this car have a manufactures warranty ? If so this should be covered. Even if the warranty has recently expired, they would normally cover this as a goodwill gesture if you are persistant. : )

CD player is not working.

I would first try removing the fuse to the radio/cd player, see if that resets the system and get the cd out.

Hope this helps some.
