after installing an amp. I heard something short out. it has something to do with security system.

  • Tim Fisher Sep 13, 2012

how do i reset that on my 95 200sx ?

  • Tim Fisher Sep 14, 2012

ok it is fixed. The beeping was from having the drivers door open. Something I unknowingly fixed when I was installing the amp. (Isaw wiring under the dash that showed bare wire and splices that had terrible connections) The beeping nearly drove me crazy, never did find the source. More loose connections and a couple hidden fuses later she's up and runnin again and the amp is working great too ! ! ! Good advice colin. beeping was door warning senor. Also, I did make two calls to the local nissan dealership service department. I used to turn wrenches alot but not so much anymore, and mainly on street rods (lats 60's-early 70's) You know... back in the good old days when you could gap your points with a match book cover. lol. Thank you for being the only person that cared to take a shot at my problem. Tim

My loctronics is making a beeping click noise

It sounds like you may be hearing a noise coming from your vehicle's locking system, which is likely the Locktronics box. It is possible that the noise you are hearing is a normal function of the Locktronics system, especially if it sounds like a beeping or clicking noise.
Locktronics systems use a series of solenoids and relays to lock and unlock the doors, and this process can sometimes create a clicking or beeping noise. This noise can be more pronounced in certain vehicle models or aftermarket installations.
However, it is also possible that the noise you are hearing is caused by an issue with the Locktronics system, such as a malfunctioning relay or solenoid. If the noise is accompanied by other symptoms, such as difficulty locking or unlocking the doors, or if the noise is very loud and persistent, it may be best to have the system checked by a professional.
If the noise is coming from under the dash, it could be the actuator motor, which is responsible for the lock and unlock function, making noise. It's best to diagnose the problem by a professional or contact the manufacturer for assistance.

How do you know if the pcm is good my makes a noise when i turn the key

HI,
PCM is the 'computer' or 'brain' for the engine. Why do you think that is making the noise? It may be under the hood of the Blazer, which would be hard to hear.

Otherwise, it could be a relay or other electrical component. What operation issues are you experiencing?
