With air con switch on with indicator light showing aircon compressor is not engaged with motor running.Relay interchanged with horn with no luck.any tips tks
Check the freon, if there isn't enough it won't engage, could also be the low pressure switch or a fuse.
Fan belt runs around pulley on front of compressor there is a coil in pulley which engages clutch of compressor should be wiring to pulley disengage wiring and check continuity of coil if none. Will not engage compressor when switched on.
SOURCE: A/C - compressor clutch won't engage
Your A/C system has a pressure sensor. If the system needs recharged, the compressor will not engage.
SOURCE: AC system, compressor not engaging.
Sounds like your a/c system is low on freon, system has a low pressure switch which disables a/c compr.so that it don't damage a/c compr, it would be kind of like running an engine with on oil it would damage an engine, what needs to be done is have dye injected in to a/c system to be able to fine the leak, once leak is found can be repaired and recharge with freon, system will work good after repair has been done.Good luck
SOURCE: Air conditioning won't engage
To reset your AC compressor, you need to remove power for at least 15 minutes. After you reconnect, the compressor should turn on. If it does, immediately turn to high and try to add refrigerant. Best of luck.

SOURCE: 1996 lincoln towncar. No a/c compressor engagement unless jumped
the control unit is no good.i had a similar situation with a 98 tracker, and installed a switch to give it a ground for the compressor relay that comes from the a/c computer module.
it works good and goes on and off with the a/c switch.
SOURCE: When I insert my key to start, I do not hear the
no dont think its the magic relay but more like the immobilisor ,is their any security light flashing on the dash somewhere ,try locking and unlocking the door with the key three times then try to start within 15 secs .if this doesnt work it could be the brake light switch if its an auto ,Not sure what you mean by the click. Without having the vehicle in front of me its difficult to tell you exactly what to look for
