There are a few fuses under the hood be sure to check fuses again at dash they could look good but not be and if one was blown it could have blown as soon as you turned them on again that would indicate a short. it could be the switch also if it is the pull type try pulling it slowly to see if they come on and turning it like to dim the dash lights. if that makes them come on you need a new switch sometimes it will work sometimes not

Dash and tail lights not workjng brake and turn signal on passanger side not working

The dash and tail lights are on two different circuits, and the brake and turn signals are on different circuits, so at least 4 circuits total.
I would start at the headlight switch and check for power on the first two issues.

Interior dash and running lights dont work but my signal and brake lights work else works

Look at fuse #18, a 15 amp fuse, in the fuse block. This fuse powers both the tail lights and instrument cluster lights. Usually both of these light systems are powered by the same fuse so when your cluster isn't lit up you'll know right away that your tail lights aren't working as it's not safe to drive without tail lights. Your brake, turn, and head lamps are powered by different circuits. Hope this helps and good luck!

On 2002 jeep laredo brake lights dont turn on if lights arent on

That does not make any sense. Do the tail lights work? There are supposed to be separate filaments for brake lights, tail lights, and turn signals. In particular the center brake light should not be possible to be confused with tail lights or signals. Does it come on? If not, then you probably have no brake lights at all, and that is probably because of the bad fuse or the switch on the brake pedal for the brake lights.
If there is some sort of cross over between tail light and brake lights, that is usually from a bad light socket ground; which results in current backing up from one system to another. But then each is usually only half brightness.

I have a 2000 Dodge Durango I bought about 4 hours ago. The tail lights do not work but the brake light and turn signals do. Also the dash lights do not work. The dash lights came on when I hit the...

The odds are the one fuse is blown for the dash and the tail lights. And the wrong bulb may have been put in for the brake light. The brake light is feeding back into the tail light circuit causing the fuse to blown out.

Change out the bulbs with OEM bulbs and replace the blown fuse. That should fix the problem.

The dash lights related to the emergenct brakes come on and off, the brake lamps indicator stays on and the ABS now and then. The trunk gets water when it rains and I think it leaks around the tail lights....

I changed all the bulbs in the tail lights after cleqaning all the connections, then sealed the lens around the trunk with clear silicone sealant. This solved most of the problem. The rain would get in around the lens and short the connections. The emergency brake light indicator and the ABS indicator still go on and off, but I havent checked the sensor yet.

Tail, tag, dash lights not working on a 92 cougar

more than likely blown fuse the dash lights will not work if the tail lights blow a fuse in most cases and that will let you know the tail lights are not working, same if a blinker is blown they will flash fast or light up on the dash and not flash letting you know there is a problem on that side

Caddilac 1992 seville tail lights dont work and dash lights

Sounds like faulty light switch... especially if all the lights are on after you hot-wire. Common GM issue especially if its the cluster type(turn signal switch). close.gif Read more >> Options >> answers-logo.gif
