    OK, sorry, the battery may have low volts output have it checked first. Let me know the results.

    checked the battery and also connected a battery booster to check if it would do anything, but nothing ...

    Also the car is showing air suspension fault but i think it is fine as i could feel the car rising when i turned the ignition on

SOURCE: gear box stuck in park

try rocking the car back and forward to see if it will losen the gear stick.

SOURCE: car is in park and there is a park break fault and

not a 100% on jags but most cars have a switch under the brake arm to let you release the shifter when you press the brake

SOURCE: My jag shows trunk ajar light on but my trunk is

its the senser switches =loose,not contacting thetrunk lid the wire to them loose adrift,fuse gone

Jaguar XF 3.0-Engine starts with no problem but display a GEARBOX Fault error. Electric Gear Shift do not rise up Any Suggestions..
the gearshift will not rise if you have gearbox problem you need to get the fault codes out the system to help sort it out best going to a jag dealer for help you can get it out of park to move it there is a release cable under the panel in the center glovebox red lever pull it up that then releases the park brake pawl in the gearbox

92 jaguar xj40 in limp mode if started in park 3rd _reverse only start in neutral 4 gears forward + sport no reverse pulled battery fuses contact cleaner no joy jag repairer rather not see it
If the gear box is working all the gears you need to remove the cable ball joint at the gear shift .Can the cable be moved through the gear positions is the J gate damaged ? There is adjustment on the cable, put the gate in drive the cable ball end should line up with the J gate. This would have to be the first checks

Recalls are only for safety reasons. No one is going to get killed if your car wont shift out of park. There is a fuse, I dont know where you get info from. Usually its the same switch that works the brake lights, if they work, the switch and fuse is good. the shifter is most likely bad, just fix it. You can always call a Salvage Yard and buy a used one, then replace it when it fails again, and again.

look under the car at the gear box for the gear leaver to see if its moving when you try to get another gear,,if it dont move there is a fault in the gear selector not the gear box,,,

STUCK IN PARK
Try pushing on break pedal before putting it into gear...if this does not work the break saftey switch telling the transmission you have depressed the pedal is faulty or the fuse to it is blown. :)

Gear shift stuck
I am having the same problem with my 05 Altima. For a temporary rememdy we took stuck a key down into the release hole in front of the gear shift. There may be a little cover over the hole, but if you take it off and stick something in it, it will release the shifter.
