How do I disengage the alarm system in a 2001 Chevy Tahoe

To disable the alarm system in a 2001 Chevy Tahoe, try the following steps:

Close all doors and windows.
Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the "ON" position.
Within 10 seconds, press the lock button on the driver's door five times. The alarm system should turn off.

Note: The above steps assume that your 2001 Chevy Tahoe has a factory-installed alarm system. If it has an aftermarket alarm system, the steps to disengage it may be different.

I have a 99 chevy tahoe that I bought. It had a prestige remote starter/ alarm in it. When remote starting, it starts and shuts off in 5 sec. What is the issue?

The fact that is has an aftermarket remote start is the issue. They tend to cause more problems then they are worth

Try checking fuses under the hood, and under the dash,
there are fuses in both locations, both on drivers side of vehicle.

How to reset the alarm on a 2003 tahoe?

first replace the batteries in the remote . Also try manually locking the doors and use the key to open it .Sometimes that works. good luck

Changed battery now remote start won't work

the remote has lost the memory and must be program . Replace the battery in the remote.

I have 2 identical remotes for my 02 Chevy blazer I cannot get them both to work at the same time. Whenever i program the 2nd one the first one doesnt work. Then when i program the first one the second one...

when you go into programing mode and program a new remote the vehicle forgets the first one. you will have to program both remotes one at a time while the vehicle is in reprogram mode

Alarm problem on 2004 chevy tahoe

you will have to write your vehicles vin number down wich is if you look throught the windshild on the drivers side you will see it its a little plate with numbers but right down the vin number and take you drivers license and Registration with you to the chevy dealer ship and request the remote for that vehicle. and they should be able to get you one. as far as i know the remote is the only way to get the alarm off. I hope this helps you

1995 cadallic deville remote dosnt work here at home

Try Ebay and search for 95 Caddi Deville Remote. It cost about 19.95 for new remote and it even comes with instructions on how to program it. I had a similar problem. Mine works great now......

PURPLE-left rear
GREEN-right rear
WHITE-left front
GREY-right front

and the other blue one is for remote antenna..

Here it is straight from Alldata:

Ground pin G of the Data Link Connector (DLC).**Bottom left pin**

Receiver will respond by locking, and unlocking doors within 2 seconds.

Press any button of the first transmitter to be programmed.
The control module will respond by locking/unlocking doors and activating rear window release.
Press any button of the second transmitter to be programmed (if used).
The control module will respond by locking/unlocking doors and activating the rear window release.

Remove the ground applied to the reprogrammed connector.

Transmitter operation is verified locking and unlocking the doors and activating the rear window release
