No in 99 chevy silverado

Sounds like the blend door is not moving. Most blend door actuators are located on the bottom of the heater box near the middle of the car. If the temp control is a round knob, it is an electronic actuator.

I have a 2004 Chevy Classic Malibu and was wondering on the coolant resevoir it has has a hose at the top where should that be connected or what is it for? When I put antifreeze in it runs out of the hose...

there should be one small hose going to the radiator from the resevor thats if the radiator has a cap on it if not then there will be 3 hoses two going to either the motor and the radiator and one that just hangs down so if any over flow from the radiator does not blow all over the motor.

99 chevy blazer 4x4 vacume diagram

you can buy a chilton or haynes manual at a parts store, or on ebay. Sometimes on ebay they sell the diagrams that are emailed to you in an ebook as well..

'99 silverado 4x4,new trans,no gears.

I don't see you did anything wrong per your description.
With the engine off, check the level of the transmission oil, replace the dipstick, start the truck and recheck the fluid level, level should drop. This will indicate the front pump is working.

Next, with truck running, put transmission into any gear, then return to park position. Do you hear any ratcheting noise.

Let me know.

I need to know what weight gear oil to use in the rear differental for a 99 chevy silverado 1500 Z71 4x4

There should be a tag on the rear that tells you the weight. It is probably sythetic oil. If there is no tag, call any Chevy dealer, ask for service dept. and they will tell you.

That hose goes from the coolant reservoir to the radiator, just under the cap. It may have a connection in between, but that is where it ends up.
