Im guessing that it is a diesel? If this is so, you need to get this thing towed. Dont try to start it, running regular gas in a diesel is not good for it.
this is a nightmare situation as the whole fuel system will have to be drained, all filters changed, and then refilled with the highest octane fuel you can buy(to dilute any diesel left in tank)most main dealers pressurise the tank and then when empty fill with gas and pressurise again when changing filters etc.....if you have a compressor it IS something you can do yourself but will take all afternoon.......(then you have to dispose of the old fuel)
the best way will be to drop the fuel tank and totally empty it away if you have only put a small amount of gas in the truck then you can get away with filling it up with fresh diesel
You can use a siphon. Then put in as much regular gasoline as there was diesel and siphon it again. After that you can fill up with your usual fuel it should be fine.
Hi:
This sort of falls into the "it depends" answer, but how much diesel was in the tank at the time? The best answer is if you don't have alot of fuel in the tank, then try to siphon all of it out, and then fill the tank up with fresh fuel Even if you have to buy 4 plastic gas cans and a siphon hose, you could **** out 24 gallons of the mixed fuel, and put fresh back in
Regular gas will make a diesel run hot and ping.
Option B is to top off the tank with Diesel and hope for the best....
Hi yes just drain the tank completely and replace the fuel filter, fill with DIESEL ;-), then just strart her up ,, it may take a bit to get going but should go in the end and run fine, Hope this helps Steve
instead of fill it gas i axcedently fill it with diesel please let me know what to do and by the way i did not use it cause it start shirffing when oi press on the gas
