Normally what I would say is: Yes, shot gun a coolant sensor into it as they are relatively cheap and it would narrow down your options. Next I would say look at the MAF or airflow sensor, whichever it has. However, I just did a quick search through Alldata, and it says that there is a recall for the PCM because it needs to be re-programmed to read the O2 sensor correctly. Also there are a couple service bulletins relating to updated O2 sensors. The very first thing I'd do is check to make sure that the PCM has be reprogrammed. This was a recall and should have been done for free.

I would like to know if both Lambda sensors are the same part number on a 1.0i Vauxhall corsa. 2004 register.

Each sensor is looking for different things so the answer is most likely NO.

My 2003 Terios has failed on high emissions.

First thing I would do is this... Get a can of SEA FOAM and add it to your Fuel. Then drive 100 Miles and have it retested. 90% sure it will pass after cleaning the system.

Lambda sensor

this is a common prob what was the fault code logged ?there are 4 sensors on these cars 2 on each bank upstream and downsteam the issue is the ecm tries to compensate for one bank that is out of limits using the fuel control of the other bank to try and keep overall emissions within limits.this makes diagnosis difficult without proper diagnostic equip.at the last count genuine jag. sensors are EXPENSIVE and cheap pattern ones are not that good.advise. find someone with jag diagnostic equip. identify the problem

1994 VOLVO 850 green triangle

that indicator is for the lambda sensor, that reverse check mark thing is the greek letter lambda. lambda sensor is another name for the oxygen sensor. it is part of how the engine computer manages emissions and it also contributes to fuel economy. if it becomes defective and is not replaced the system may eventually foul your catalytic converter. hope that helps
