My 93 civic dx wont start in cold temps. I have changed my coolant temp sensor and my fan temp sensor. Its like moisture is causing it. It was 84 out earlier this afternoon the sun was down and it would start but it sounds like a Subaru wrx and shakes like crazy. It only does it in the morning and night. Day time when it warm runs perfect. What have i missed? Please help?

What is the fuel pressure when this happens? You may have a defective fuel pump inside the fuel tank, it is bleeding down and this causes a loss of pressure and hard starting cold.

I feel there is a sort somewhere in the fan circuitry, check its fuse unit. Also ensure proper level of engine oil is present in the engine. Actually your car might be overheating because the respective fans are not powering on at the correct time, but you mentioned that these fans are in working condition so it has to on something in this circuit that is preventing completion of this circuit by their respective sensors which you have recently changed...............sodeep

2001 chevy malibu coolant temp sensor isnt working stuck at cold heater is hot and cooling fans are always on

You did not change the coolant temp sw. you change the ETC which sends a signal to the cpu. It looks just like the temp sw. Look on the driver side head and I believe you will see another one there or look the engine over for another sw just like the one you changed. Not sure what size engine you are asking about.

2000 hyundai accent runs good though, when it gets up to temp. the car shuts off ,when it gets cold again it starts right back up whats my problem has a new radiator in it

car shuts off when temp, gets to normal--- causes: low coolant, failing coolant temp. sensor, air in water pump, failed radiator fan, kinked heater hose, check the coolant temp. sensor first.

Honda civic 2004 changed radiator, thermostat control, changed cylinder head with machine shop, new fan...still temp rises beyond half..mechanic told me to fix engine block and machine shop again cylinder...

the gauge is going above half, but is it actually over heating? could be a faulty coolant temp sensor sending an incorrect temperature. when you changed the radiator, was the rad cap also changed? if the cap is not holding correct pressure, it will lower the boiling temp of the coolant and cause it to overheat. an infra red thermometer is very useful for diagnosing this, point it at the thermostat housing and see what the temp is there, that will tell you whether the temp gauge is accurate or not. good luck!

check your wiring for dirty connections or broken wires, you may have wires that are rubbed through or connectors that are not making full contact. you will need an ohm meter and check wires for continuity. a wiring diagram will be needed.
