There is actually a recent recall on the fuel pumps for Suzuki 2007-2009. Some Fuel Pump modules are actual leaking. See your local dealer to see if this applies to you.

A mechanic would check the vapor canister to see if it is full of liquid gasoline. If it is, you would need to replace it and find out if the EVAP system is working correctly. It should only have fumes in it from the tank.

SOURCE: I have a 2006 Suzuki

was the car running fine, before you put the new gas in the car, if the answer is yes, then , i would say , there is a chance that you could have got some water in your gas where ever you got it. " sometimes at gas stations, when the fuel runs low in their under ground tanks, they sweat and draw moisture, and then when a person pumps the gas , the water/ moisture goes into the customers gas tank, i would put 1-2 bottles of heet, into the gas tank to remove the water, that is if this is the case, after you do this, hope fully the engine will run fine, if it does not, then i would have someone to hook up a code tester, to the aldl link, to see what trouble codes have ben picked up by the computer, hopefully the problem will go away with the heet installed, hope that this information has helped you. you can buy the heet at walmart , or at a auto part store. p.s. try 1 bottle of heet first, and then if you need to add the 2nd bottle then you can, but see how it runs on only 1 bottle of heet first.

2007 XL7 hard to start when adding gas only.

Yup, evap canister related. Replace the gas cap first, then replace the evap vent valve, then the evap canister. Replace 1 at a time till you fix your problem. If problem persists, report back.

Tighten gas cap message and then check engine light on 2008 suzuki xl7

there is a DTC error stored, in the ECU. (scan tools show this)
there is a car puter, error, message that really means
the gas tank is not holding air pressure.."EVAP sys"
and 99% of the time, that is "a loose gas cap"
it can take many driving cycle to clear this code.
or 1second with any scan tool, even a $30 tool.

I have suzuki XL 7 2005 67mile egine light is on

In order to see why the light is on you will need to have the computer scanned for the codes, there are many auto part stores that will scan it for free, a common reason also could be the gas cap is not on tight, if thats the case then tighten or install gas cap and drive may take a week of driving for light to go off.

Emissin control system light on vitara xl7 2004 dont get off until i diconnect the neg pole of the battery vhen gas cap is open at same time and connect battery again. The car drives ok . but light coms on...

Have your gas cap tested to see if it is working correctly. On some vehicles if that vent on the gas cap is not working right you will get a fault. Next time you are on the road driving and it comes on stop are an Autozone and ask them to use the code reader they have to identify the fault. If it is a Vacum fault try replacing the Gas cap.

Emissons code on a 2005 suzuki reno po496

This code means the engine is getting outside air from somewhere in the system. Most of the time this code is thrown when people forget the gas cap. Or the gas cap has gone bad. on either case take the car to autozone have them clear the code maybe buy a gas cap if you didnt leave ti off and it wont give you any trouble. If the code comes back after the new gas cap then you need a new charcoul filter that mounts tot he top of the gas tank.
