SOURCE: truck won't start, can't hear either fuel pump 1992 Ford F 150 5.

If you can't hear the fuel pump when you turn the key to the on position trying to build up fuel pressure, it is most likely either a voltage issue at the fuel pump or you need to replace the fuel pump. Have you checked your fuel filter? Try turning on the key without engaging the starter and see if you hear the whine of the fuel pump.

Good Luck

SOURCE: wont start

CHECK SHRADER VALVE ON FUEL RAIL FOR PRESSURE. IT IS COMMON FOR PUMP'S TO GO OUT. YOU CAN HAVE SOMEONE LISTEN TO TANK FOR A BUZZ NOISE ON KEY CYCLES OR TEST FUEL PUMP CONNECTOR HARNESS FOR POWER. TRY KEEPING AT LEAST QUARTER TANK AT ALL TIMES TO KEEP FUEL PUMP COOL,SOME PEOPLE DRIVE ON LOW AQLL TIMES AND KEEPS PUMP HOT CAUSING PREMATURE FAILURE.

SOURCE: 1990 Ford F150 won't start/Sometimes will start

We are having similar problems. My husband replaced the fuel pump, fuel regulator and now it cranks but dies when you give it a lot of gas. He thinks the fuel injectors are stopped up. I read where one guy replaced the computer and fixed it and another one replaced the EEC. Check the relay contact and clean and check all grounding wires.

Why does my 1996 Ford Explorer try to crank up but then just die?

there can be many reasons, but a very common problem is a fuel problem. Take some starting fluid remove plastic line or cover of the throttle body and spray a little in and crank and if it starts spray in pulses of about two seconds at a time and see if it will stay running. If it stays running. You probably have a bad fuel pump. Its gonna be a process of elimination, and that is where I would start. only spray a little in before you try and start, it is flammable so want to be careful when and where spraying. If you want to try this. you can comment on the results, and I can advise you on how to find the problem. Had it been running fine prior, or was the check engine light on before this happened or any miss or rough idle of the engine prior?

Ford expedition 2007 engine crank but wont start and engine light blinking 8 times

You will need to do some testing here to find out why truck will not start,
this may be a bad fuel pump but lets check, a quick test is to spray starting fluid into throttle body. you will need to remove the intake boot to get to throttle body to spray, you will also need to open throttle plate with finger . with plate open spray fluid for 5 sec, then release the plate and put boot back on and try to start truck. if this is a fuel problem then truck should start and run for a few seconds and then die out. if it does this then i would say the fuel pump is bad,

A quicker test is to have someone banging on the bottom of the tank while someone to trying to start it, and if it starts then pump is bad, this is not a definite way but a quick way, try this first and then starting fluid. good day.

My 96 crown vic police interceptor, cranks won't start without spraying starter fluid.. the car won't start without spraying starter fluid into air intake hose to carb...

starting fluid is a thing of the past. dont use it. this car doesnt have a carb, its a throttle body/ electronic fuel injection system. you most likely have a fuel pump or fuel pressure regulator issue. test the fuel pressure, should be anywheres from 35-50 psi

First try to step on gas about one quarter throttle then try to start. If it starts like that I would change the Idle Air Control valve.
