Possable too much oil pressure over riding valve springs loosen sump plug rumotor running let oil out as the last of the oil runs out you may notice the motor will stop miss firing also remove one spark plug from missfiring cyl and do a compression test while engine is running you may find no compression even through there was when you cheaked it at starter speed

Multiple cylinder misfires cause engine to die out unless gas pedal is pressed. Will not idle

the fuel smell is from unburnt fuel in the cylinders not firing , i'd have to start with reading the OBD codes to help narrow down the component/s at fault but at a guess i'd think the ign coils are at fault but the OBD will pinpoint the issue

Car is surging when going up hills and smell of eggs is present bad, what do you think the problem is?

Cylinder misfires-real bad ones, not random misfires

You have a Class A misfire- that is ruining the exhaust
converter, thus the sulphur dioxide smell,STOP Using it

You will need new spark plugs, find out what ignition coils
are bad & may have to replace the converters & oxygen sensors,
if you have used it like that a couple weeks

Your looking at $1000 repair bill or more, because you failed to
have it checked for codes, road tested with a scanner & look at
fuel trim & cylinder misfires

What causes 2005 2.5l volvo to misfire and show code random multiple misfires i replaced plugs but no good

I would take it back and demand a refund. Could be the crank or cam sensors, an intake leak, faulty coil, or a list of other components.

Po300,301,302,161,306 code numbers, what are they.upon acceleration it is like gas is having problem being sent to engine

P300 is random multiple misfire,301 is cylinder 1 misfire. 302 is cylinder 2 misfire & 306 is cylinder 6 misfire. P161 is a bad heater circuit in oxygen sensor bank 2 sensor 2. It is behind catalytic convertor. I would replace downstream oxygen sensor & clear codes. Run vehicle it may be all that is wrong.

Getting gas smells and misfiring on a 2000 chevy venture. what might be the problem? was told not running on 2 of the 6 cylinders could that be the only problem? i am being told its something else

first off you have to fix the misfire problem before you can do anything else,as a misfire will cause a fuel smell because you have 2 cylinders acting like a raw fuel pump ,by the fuel entering the cylinder not burning a being pumped out unburned.so you have to find out why it is your six cylinder car is only running on 4 cylinders and repair the problem.then you can go from there if you have to,also you will have to change the oil as it will have fuel in the oil which thins out the oil to a point it does not do it`s job and could ignite in the oil pan causing other problems

2003 Hyundai Sonata with 4 cyl. PO301 error code. Have replaced spark plugs, wires, coil packs, and mass air flow sensor. Replaced air filter due to heavy gas smell. Car was starting after tapping gas 3...

P0301 - Cylinder 1 Misfire Detected.

Possible Causes:
- Improper spark plug at cylinder #1
- Insufficient compression at cylinder #1
- Incorrect fuel pressure
- The injector circuit is open or shorted at cylinder #1
- Fuel injector #1 may be faulty
- Intake air leak at cylinder

Possible Solutions:
- Perform Injector Service
- Replaced Spark Plug #1
- Replaced Injector #1
- Replaced Ignition Coil #1

Being you have a heavy gas smell I would look into the injectors. If injector #1 is over producing it can cause a misfire. Test your compression and fuel pressure.

I would check out the EGR valve. That maybe what is causing all the misfires.

2003 cavalier trac and engine light on

you are probably throwing code p0300 random misfire. it sounds like your ignition module which sits on the top of you engine it is silver with find and held in with 3 torx screws it controls 2 cylinders at a time so when it goes your car will be only running on 2 cylinders this can severely damage you catalytic converter. and a dealer won't cover it under the emissions warranty. the module costs around $100 so you might want to diagnose it.
