it is the clockspring it is nothing to worry about i would get some cat 5 wire coil it up and wire it in there because the clockspring is very expensive part in have replace them using cat 5 wire and never had any problem after

Yes, that sounds correct to be calibrated.and probably is what is causing your problem. Mass air flow sensors hardly ever go bad. They get dirty and set a code. Garages will try to sell you one when you can clean it with a throttle body cleaner. If you have your old one, clean it and put it back on, try it to see if it works better.

have the car checked when the check engine light is on,also a good scanner will be able to give you the history codes, get back to me with the codes and we'll go from there. you need someone with a professional scan tool

First of all you need to get this problem fixed ASAP. While the airbag light is illuminated, your SDM (Sensing and Diagnostic Module aka: the brain of your airbag system) shuts of power to the airbags. In which, if you are in an accident your airbags will not deploy while this light is illuminated. You need to take your vehicle to a GM dealership. A Tech 2 scantool is needed to retrieve the code from the SDM. Hopefully it won't be a costly repair, but is something that defineatly needs to be corrected soon. Good luck and hope all works well.

Unfortunately if the light is on, then the airbag system is disabled and will provide you no safety in a collision. Usually when this happens on a vehicle that is so new it is usually as simple as a wire that is broken or a clock spring in the steering column.
This problem should be diagnosed by a qualified repair facility with proper electronic diagnostic equipment as it requires relatively expensive equipment that would not be worth purchasing for a single job.
