Hello i live in nigeria. My uncle in atlanta GA,USA sent us a 2000 volvo s70 since the year 2006. If you on the radio of the car,it says''OFF''. Some mechanics around nigeria says we should buy another radio but i like that kind of radio in the volvo car. I dont think there is a volvo dealer in the city that i live. i live in enugu state nigeria. and sending it back to usa is going to cost. i may end up not enjoying this holiday. pls get back to me asap.

If you cant find the code among the manuals and service books, contact a volvo dealer to get a new one, if the volvo dealer cant help you contact Volvo global.

If the radio say off someone must have entered the code wrong to many times if that's the case the only way to get it back to be able to enter the free code you get from the Volvo dealer or from the top of the radio is to turn the key into the on position as if the car was running for two hours to reset the radio
First thing you have to do is to find the right 4 digit code.
I have a same car myself.
I bought it in New Zealand as a second hand , I had a same problem. Luckily I found the dealer contact number in Singapore [the car was from Singapore], I phoned them and they found the code in a flick. And my s70 radio is up & running.

Two Methods: (a) Take your Registration with you to the nearest volvo dealer and you'll be provided with the code., (b) Make sure All lights off, then turn the key to position 2 (ii), turn the radio on, and leave for two hours. After two hours elapsed, the radio is ready to accept the code. Try and input it now...make sure you have the right code, otherwise, after 3 (Wrong) atempts, the radio would lock up again. Good luck
