Cannot accelerate 1987 E350 motor home

If it idles but bogs when the accelerator is pushed, it has carb issues(if it has been sitting for a long time probably has carb issue) or low fuel pressure. If its low fuel pressure then it could be a bad/clogged fuel filter, fuel flow problems from the tank to the fuel pump, or a bad fuel pump.

Be certain of the wear you are experiencing, if one side is getting wear or one side of one tire a worn or loose caster adjuster on the upper ball joint is very likley. Worn ball joints are also very common on these vans. No grease fitting on a ball joint is a sure failure in as little as 40 or 50,000 miles. Thats an 800 dollar grease fitting.

Time a 1987 2.8 v6 camaro

Most likely the IAC (idle air control) motor is sticking and dirty. Clean the throttle body, make certain the accelerator cable and TV cable is adjusted properly. Good luck

Fuel pressure

Well most engines have a mechanical pump on the engine, but the E350 models used for motor homes and box vans also use an electric pump in the tank. The pressure rating is still 5-8 psi like the mechanical pumps.
Have you replaced the inline filter ?

There is no idle speed control vale if it is Bosch mono motronic. idle speed is controlled by throttle actuator, ( electric motor) that is on the left hand side of the throttle body.

Check your fuel vapor recovery system, your van has unusual set up, and the effect is RAW fuel gets purged, rather than vapor.
The dead giveaway test is does the issue happen on light acceleration? Does it stop if you let off the throttle? Can you accelerate harder and "get past" the issue?

My son has 1987 Toyota Celica ST with a 3S-FE engine. It sometimes has acceleration issues. For lack of a better word, it jerks while accelerating. But it only does this at times. Other times it works...

Same problem happened to my 1993 Nissan 240SX SE Hatchback. Turned out to be the flywheel for some odd reason. Try that! Also in my opinion it could be bad spark plugs or a clogged fuel filter. Usually those would be the main reasons.
