WillR | 1 min ago I have an 02 trailblazer and have only recently had problems with it. I've gone to start it and it will turn over then immediately die. It seems like it only happens when it is hot outside. When I go to start it in the morning when it's cooler out it starts right up. I haven't had any Problems with the engine until I had the muffler replaced. Could it be the oxygen sensor? I'm completely at a loss for what it could be. It isn't even displaying a service engine light, so no code to run. I took it in, and I had one of the coil packs replaced and a new.... Phaser something or other. Ran ok for a few days but it was also fairly cool those days. First, hot day it started all over again. It would crank, turn over then immediately die. Any thoughts? P.S. I also had the entire throttle body taken apart and cleaned
Usually a stalling problem in hot weather is caused by an electrical part getting overheated such as a coil or a relay, or a fuel problem.
I doubt the O2 sensor would cause it to stall that quick. And if a sensor fails it should turn on the warning light.
You might want to have the computer scanned for codes even tho the light has not come on.
How many times do you have to start it before it keeps running ? Will it stay running if you open the throttle ?

fuel pump is working but when accelerating it doesnt pump enough fuel up to the engine then it will fall on its face if it is a electric pump you may have to drop the tank if it is inside and replace it if it is on the engine replace it thats what is exactly wrong with it
SOURCE: Service engine soon light flashing on acceleration
When the service engine soon light is flashing there is a miss fire in the motor if you look in your owners manual it will tell you that. The same thing happend to me and it endid up to be the cat...

You most likley need to replace the whole unit. But without diagnosing it its all a guess. Look at it this way. You would of already spent a couple hundred at least to place one small part. If your wrong your now going to have to spend about $500 for the whole unit plus anothe diag possibly.

Sounds like you have a faulty head gasket or maybe a cracked head. This can cause overheating and the check engine light to come on.The code for the o2 sensor is probably caused by coolant getting into the exhaust system and coating the sensor. The coolant fan may work but it cannot remove enough heat from the rad to make the engine cool off.Try some engine coolant stop leak to see if it will help. This maybe only a temperary fix.Let me know if you need more.MOE
Its
a hot start issue.
Can
be related to low fuel pressure or problem with crank sensor.
Also
it can be weak battery or starter.
But
possibilities are to be inspected to confirm what exactly it is.------
